AVOIDING A DOUBLE MOVE



One of the biggest concerns a potential seller has in this fast paced market where houses can sell in a few days or hours, is how they can avoid making a double move.  With houses selling so quickly, an offer contingent upon their house selling is not typically a good possibility.  What are some options?

Perhaps one option is to contact your mortgage lender to see if you have enough equity in your current loan which would allow you to do a bridge loan, a home equity line of credit or another similar loan product which would allow you to buy before your house is sold.  For some people with kids, dogs, cats, goats whatever it might make more sense to move into the new home before the existing home is ready to be successfully marketed.
