5 Tips To Easily Keep Your Home Clean Nobody likes to spend a day or weekend tackling chores. Here are a few things you can do to keep up with things so that you don't have to. 1. Set 15-20 minutes a day to tackle clutter - Organize that junk drawer, go through those papers, clean up a bathroom or grab the dust cloth. Instead of putting dishes in the sink, put them in the dishwasher or wash them up as you go. Be sure to get everyone in the home involved. It's amazing what you can accomplish in the week with a short period of time each day. 2. Tackle a load of laundry in the morning or before you go to bed - Dirty clothes pile up and before you know it, you have multiple loads and are out of everything. Knocking out a load at a time can keep it manageable. 3. Survey a room before you leave it - Removing trash and things that don't belong as you go helps prevent a room from getting messy. 4. Spot clean your bathrooms a few times a week - Use cleaning wipes or have paper towels and a cleaner handy. This does two things. First, it forces you to manage clutter. Be sure you have a place for everything in your bathroom so that your counters can easily be wiped down. Second, a more thorough clean should be easier if you've been keeping up. 5. Pair tasks - Empty the dishwasher while waiting for your coffee. Clean your refrigerator every time you take the trash out. By tying one task to another one that you are already in the habit of doing, it becomes second nature to get it done. |
